TOM JONES ASTOUNDED TO BE  SERENADED BY PRESLEY.

TOM JONES was dumbstruck when he heard ELVIS PRESLEY singing one of his
songs - especially as he was only just starting out in the music business at the time.

The SEX BOMB star subsequently struck up a friendship with Presley in the
1960s, which lasted until Presley's untimely death in 1977.

But the moment Presley serenaded Jones when he was a struggling new singer
is etched onto the Welsh singer's memory.

Jones recalls, "I walked over to a sound stage and there he was, walking
towards me, singing WITH THESE HANDS, which was my first single.

"I thought, 'Jesus Christ, this is my first year in the business and here
comes Elvis Presley singing my song.'

"It was mind-boggling - the year before I was skint."

Tupelo tour highlights early life.

Elvis birthplace, other sites reveal humble beginnings

The largest influx of fans arrives in August to honor the anniversary of his
death. Most begin their pilgrimage in Memphis, headquarters of Elvis Week. Their
main destination in Tupelo is The Elvis Presley Birthplace, Museum and Chapel.

"We portray a different Elvis here," said museum executive director Dick
Guyton. "At 13, he was an innocent child, simple, low-key."

The site contains the two-room shotgun-style house where Elvis was born. His
father, Vernon Presley, had borrowed $180 to build the house with the help
of his father. The hammer, little larger than a child's toy, is among the Elvis and
family memorabilia displayed in the museum.

In 1957 Elvis donated the proceeds from a concert at the Tupelo Fairgrounds
(the new city hall is now located on the fairgrounds site) for the city to
purchase the house and create a park on the surrounding 15 acres. It was the same
year he purchased Graceland in Memphis. He once said, "I could never become so rich
that I would forget what it's like to be poor."

The chapel was built entirely from unsolicited funds sent by fans worldwide.
During the August Fan Appreciation Day of Elvis Week, the chapel is used for
storytelling.

A story wall links the chapel to the museum. One quote by Roland Tindall,
who went to school with Elvis at Milam Junior High School reads: "Elvis would
pick his guitar and sing and tell us one day he was going to be on the Grand Ole
Opry. We were all very doubtful of that but we didn't say anything to him about it."

Early years

Tupelo Hardware is one of 10 sites in town related to his early years. A
self-guided driving tour and bronze plaques mark the following:

The Elvis Presley Birthplace, Museum and Chapel receives 70,000-80,000
visitors annually. The two-room house where Gladys Presley gave birth to Elvis and a
stillborn twin is located on the original site.

In Elvis's day, newspapers would have been used to paper the walls in place
of today's flowered wallpaper. Furnishings are true to the period. A photograph
of 3-year-old Elvis with his parents hangs above the fireplace. "He didn't want
his photo taken," explained the docent, "so they gave him some peanuts. That's
why one jaw looks bigger than the other."

A 1939 green Plymouth pointed in the direction of Memphis represents the car
Vernon would have used when he moved his family in 1948 in search of better
job opportunities.

The "Times and Things Remembered" Museum features many items collected by
family friend Janelle McComb. One of these is a poem she wrote for Elvis to
give to his baby girl, Lisa Marie. Humbled by McComb's gesture, Elvis cried, and a
teardrop smeared the lettering.

The chapel contains Elvis' Bible and a stained glass symbolic depiction of
Elvis with arms raised and surrounded by fans.

Lee County Library issued Elvis his first library card.

Lawhon Elementary and Milam Junior High School are the first and last
schools Elvis attended while the Presley family lived in Tupelo. "Elvis and I were
in ɠfifth grade class together. We had a short chapel time each morning and Elvis
would sometimes sing 'Old Shep' or 'God Bless My Daddy.' He was pretty shy and not
mischievous at school." - Becky Martin quote from the Birthplace Memory Wall.

Johnnie's Drive Inn near the birthplace was where Elvis shared after-school
RC Colas and cheeseburgers with friends. You can still order a burger there today.

The Shake Rag Community. From his childhood home (not the birthplace), Elvis
would walk to one of the churches in this black community and listen to the singing.

The Assembly of God Church. Elvis and his family attended church here.

Lee County Courthouse now occupies the site where Elvis first sang on
Mississippi Slim's WELO Radio Show.

Mayhorn Grocery Site. A barber shop currently occupies the site of Mayhorn
Grocery, where Elvis would listen to blues and gospel music played on the
porch by residents of the surrounding neighborhood.

Hardware store nails down place in Elvis history.

TUPELO, Miss. - When Elvis Presley was 10 years old, his mother, Gladys,
took him to Tupelo Hardware Store to buy a bicycle.

"The story goes," said Howard Hite, whose wife's grandfather founded the
store in 1926, "that Elvis saw a .22 rifle on the wall. His mother said no to the rifle, which
upset him and made him cry. Forrest Bobo, a friend of the family who worked
in the store for 20 years, offered him a guitar instead."

Elvis sat on a wood box behind the showcase and strummed the guitar awhile,
then said he didn't have enough money, which he had earned from running
errands. It cost $7.75 plus 2 percent tax. His mother told him that if he
would buy the guitar instead of the rifle she would pay the difference.

"We like to think Tupelo Hardware had an influence on his music," said Hite,
"and certainly his career. We're proud to be part of it."

For Elvis fans, the hardware store has become a shrine almost as important
as Elvis's Birthplace, in Tupelo. Some 12,000 to 15,000 visitors stop and sign
the store's guest book annually.

"They come in busloads from all around the world," said Hite, naming
Japanese and British fans as the largest contingent outside of the USA. This
old-fashioned store with glass-fronted display cases and wooden counters with cubbyhole
drawers is filled with everyday and old-fashioned hardware items. It
continues to thrive as a supplier for building contractors.

And they still sell guitars. Johnson guitars range in price from $69 to
$119. "A lot of people buy them just because Elvis bought his here," Hite said. Each guitar
purchase is authenticated with a gold seal that features a drawing of Tupelo
Hardware Company and says, "Where Gladys Bought Her Son His First Guitar."

In March 2004, Joe Perry from the rock group Aerosmith stopped the band's
bus in front of the store in order to buy a guitar.

"He wanted to buy the Indiana guitar in the window," Hite said, "because his
wife is from Indiana and he wanted a guitar from where the King of Rock and Roll
bought his." According to their official Web site, www.aeroforceone.com, while in
town they also toured Elvis' birthplace and rented a local movie theater, Elvis-style,
to watch "Starsky and Hutch" with some crew members. Perry "has an Elvis room in his
house," Hite said.

Celebration

Each year Tupelo rocks with three Elvis celebrations - his birthdate Jan. 8,
the anniversary of his death Aug. 16, and with the fun and funky Tupelo Elvis
Festival Friday through June 5.

Located at the corner of Front and Main streets, Tupelo Hardware serves as a
cornerstone of this fun, family-style get together. This year's headliners
will be Chuck Berry on Friday night, Tracy Byrd on Saturday night and nearly a dozen
other musical acts performing rockabilly to gospel throughout the festival.

Travis Ledoyt, Tupelo's favorite tribute artist - who looks a lot like Elvis
mingles with the crowd. Kids outfit their dogs in flashy costumes for the Elvis
Look-Alike Pet Parade. And recliners decorated to represent one of the 33 movies Elvis made
are pushed down the street during the quirky "World Famous Recliner Race." The
festival ends on Sunday with a gospel concert in one of the larger downtown churches.

In the midst of these activities and during the rest of the year, Tupelo
Hardware welcomes visitors to tour the store for free. "We sold seven guitars one day
during (last year's) festival," Hite said.

"Personally, I saw Elvis in concert three times," Hite recalled. The last
time in 1974,he took his wife, who was born in Tupelo, to an Elvis concert in Tuscaloosa.
"It was wild," he recalled. The concert made an everlasting impression on his wife.
"I can get in her car," Hite said, "and she always has an Elvis CD playing."

Ben Folds talks about Elvis.

Earlier this week, CNN ran an interview with Ben Folds, an extremely
talented and commercially successful singer/songwriter that was only 10
years old when Elvis died. The story can be read here:

http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Music/05/25/leisure.folds.reut/index.html

Here's what Mr. Folds had to say about Elvis: "His new album was recorded at
the old RCA studios in Nashville, Tennessee, where Elvis Presley recorded.
Elvis pervades Folds's conversation about professionalism. If you see him on
any live television show of that era, (he was) absolutely, completely in
tune, completely on, no mistakes. For anyone who thinks it's not in their
power to go on the (David) Letterman show and do something meaningful, just
watch Elvis on the 'Ed Sullivan Show.' It's chilling, it's so good.""

Queen of Rockabilly hot at 67.

You probably never noticed but Wanda has left the building. A blast from the
past and the future, rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson was in London for a
concert at Aeolian Hall this week. Backed by London traditional country
quintet the Rizdales, who added a steel guitarist and pianist for the
occasion, the Oklahoma City singer and guitarist showed plenty. She still
has what Jackson calls her "growl." At its most volcanic, that growl is a
roar, an eruption like the gruff bellows of the late bluesman Howlin' Wolf,
a comparably important rock hero and as enormous, physically, as Jackson is
tiny. Jackson began recording in 1954 as a country singer.

Her beau at the time was a young man called Elvis Presley she'd met on tour.
Elvis urged her to switch to rockabilly. She made the leap, even if she
still jumps back to classy country when she records. Her hits Funnel of
Love, Let's Have a Party, Right or Wrong and Fujiyama Mama are all Rock 101.
All of them, and more, jumped into the present at Aeolian Hall. She made and
keeps making rock history -- as she did this week as a 67-year-old woman in
a blue fringe top and black slacks on Aeolian Hall's stage. Jackson
expressed a little mock disappointment that The Queen had returned to
Britain too soon for a summit. "She didn't stay to meet the other queen,"
Jackson said. In addition to being such a rockabilly royal, Jackson is also
cool enough to talk about her age. That's hot. Not that she knows it all.

"Until about two weeks ago, I didn't know there was a London, Ontario," she
smiled, admitting to wondering why she was in England on a Thursday before
playing Hamilton and Toronto. Like a few other major figures -- Canadian
pianist Anton Kuerti and French guitarist Pierre Bensusan -- who have played
London in 2005, Jackson didn't seem to notice hundreds of thousands of
Londoners had stayed home. There was a party at Aeolian Hall, but there
coulda, shoulda been a bigger, crazier one. Much worse, a few fans talked
through Jackson's detailed yarns. So this queen talks a lot on stage. She
talks about Elvis. Not just Elvis, either. "They sound better than the Party
Timers," she said of the Rizdales, rating the Londoners ahead of her 1960s'
band. That's praise. On records, the Party Timers' guitarist was a hot young
Roy Clark. But then Queen Wanda always has had a classy court.

Clinton And Elvis.

Beginning Saturday, visitors at the Clinton Presidential Library will get to
see a reproduction of parts of a White House music room built for Clinton,
samples from his eclectic CD collection and video of him playing in the
Arkansas All-State Band as a teenager.

Kaki Hockersmith of Little Rock, who redesigned the Oval Office for Clinton,
put together the White House music room as a surprise Christmas present from
wife Hillary. The design tied in the neoclassical White House architecture
with a charcoal leather music studio look that Hockersmith called "real
jazzy and masculine." A whole wall is dedicated to Clinton's childhood idol,
Elvis Presley, and includes stamps from the African nation of Chad depicting
an imaginary jam session featuring Elvis and a saxophone-toting Clinton.

The Roots Of Elvis.

Various Artists. CRREV 99

Well...in that old cliche, no introduction neccesary... The King... the
Alpha and Omega of Rock'n'Roll... if i have to tell you more, just WHERE
have you BEEN?

But wait, maybe there is more. The greatest entertainer of the 20th Century
was also the greatest MUSIC FAN and RECORD COLLECTOR! Yeah baby! A near
enyclopaedic knowledge of Country music, R&B, Blugrass, Blues, Gospel... on
top of the popular radio fodder of the time which makes Elvis a very modern
figure. Rather than picking stuff up working carnivals and minstrel shows
like older southern entertainers, Elvis took it in through the mass media...
just like a guy in a band today! And this was not just relevant at the
beginning of his career, oh no... Elvis continued to refer back to his
record collection throughout his life, sometimes adding a cover to his live
show from an obscure country or R&B record he'd purchased in his teens. This
music was a living soundtrack in his head, and a constant reminder of who he
was...

Too Much - Bernard Hardison / Love Me - Willy & Ruth / Hearts Of Stone - Red
Foley / Satisfied - Martha Carson / Crying In The Chapel - Darrell Glenn /
Fool, Fool, Fool - Kay Starr / Tryin' To Get To You - The Eagles / Baby
Let's Play House - Arthur Gunter / Reconsider Baby - Lowell Fulson / When It
Rains It Pours - Billy "The Kid" Emerson / There's A Leak In This Old
Building - Brother Claude Ely / I Got A Woman - Ray Charles / Feel So Bad -
Chuck Willis / Shake, Rattle And Roll - Joe Turner / Hound Dog - Freddie
Bell & The Bell Boys / How Do You Think I Feel - Jimmie Rodgers Snow / Faded
Love - Bob Wills / (Now And Then There's) A Fool Such As I - The Robins /

Was Elvis forced to marry Priscilla?

Marty Lacker has taken issue with comments made by Priscilla Presley in in
Elvis by the Presleys dispelling the rumor that The Colonel and Vernon
Presley pressured Elvis into marrying her.

Marty Lacker stated on the alt.elvis.king messageboard: "I'm surprised she
even addresses that. Let me put it this way and I normally don't do this but
if she wants to face me, I will swear on the lives of my children and
grandchildren that is exactly what Elvis told me in '66 on the day he
apologized for his yelling during the only arguement we ever had and then
asked me to be the Best Man at the wedding. Something had made him agitated
the day after we came home from LA and the night before he was overjoyed and
in a great mood when he saw his newly redecorated bedroom by my brother in law.

He said the reason for the argument was that her father pressured and
threatened him if he didn't marry her. Therefore either Elvis or Priscilla
and her parents are lying.  Guess who I believe.  It's easy to cover your
ass 39 years later. I'm glad she is aware of what I have written and said."

I'm very anal about that."

Elvis and Debbie - the mystery solved?

Interesting story from Bill Burk - "The sudden death of Haywood Watts last
Wednesday (burial Friday) will have an effect on a future issue of Elvis
World magazine... and here's how.

I 've told you how all alumni of old South Side High School get together for
dinner each 3 months... and how many of this group had their moments with
Elvis, in one place or another.
Well, we were standing in the buffet line at Piccadilly about last Fall and
Haywood came in immediately behind us.
Asked what I was doing these days and I told him "publishing EW," and
Haywood began rattling off his encounter with Elvis and it's one of those
"only Elvis" stories.

We made a mental note to contact Haywood "soon" and get the full details for
a future issue of EW. ALSO, three months before Elvis died, I had pretty
reliable reports Elvis was dating a girl named Debbie and was told she was
working as a bank teller on EP Blvd.

For months I'd go into this and that bank and to this and that teller and
ask for change for a dollar, looking at the nameplates of each teller,
trying to find this "Debbie."  Never did.
Then came the trial of Dr. Nick (that ended up with his losing his license)
... and I was looking at the list of witnesses and saw a "Debbie Watts"
listed for the next day's hearings.

Not putting two and two together instantly, I called George Klein to ask who
this Debbie Watts was and he said "You ought to know her.

You played baseball with her father at South Side." Haywood Watts?!  Debbie
Watts?!!  Father/daughter?
So, IN that Piccadilly line, I told Haywood I'd like to come to his house
and do the interview and, if possible, have Debbie sit in with us; telling
him what had been reported to me in 1977 and he assured me that was true.
Well, only DAYS after that dinner, Haywood Watts was rushed to the hospital
where it was discovered he had contracted a serious case of Diabetes 2 ...
and that "maybe" they would have to amputate one or both feet.
Haywood went into instant deep depression and, regretfully, I never followed
up on his problem. He wound up losing only one big toe, but last week, still
in depression, I was told, he was in his front yard and keeled over dead
with a heart attack.

I attended Haywood's funeral ... as I do as many Scrapper funerals as
possible ... and I let Debbie know I'd still like to talk with her whenever
she feels like it.

That may be soon, later, or never ... but at least we're going to TRY!
Haywood, like me, signed a professional baseball contract with the St. Louis
Cardinals.
Whereas he played 2 years of minor league ball before getting hurt, I never
reported -- opting at the last minute to devote all of my time to flying
(and coaching kids' baseball on the side)."

Elvis' stepbrother arrives in Finland.

David Stanley, the stepbrother of Elvis, will open The Footsteps of Elvis
exhibition in Finland on June the 9th.
He will come face to face with the largest Elvis exhibition in Europe but
for David these items are also a part of the story of his own life.

David Stanley, now 49, moved to Graceland when he was four years old. His
mother Dee had married Elvis' father Vernon. Thus David and his brothers got
a stepbrother who spoiled them with a lot of luxurious presents and after a
while David thought all baby brothers, big brothers were rock stars!

When David was 16, Elvis took him with him on tour and that is how David
became a bodyguard and personal assistant of the world's most famous rock
star.
David worked with Elvis between 1972 and 1977 at hundreds of concerts. David
was there and witnessed the tragic death of Elvis at Graceland on August the
16th in 1977.

The Footsteps of Elvis exhibition's items have been familiar to David since
his early childhood and the trip to Naantali in Finland will be an emotional
experience.

These articles bring me emotional values. I sure will feel like I'm
returning back to Graceland. These items also bring back memories and
moments I had with my brother.
Each piece has its own story to tell, says David.

Today David Stanley owns and runs a production company, Impello Films Inc,
and the company's next big production, The Headhunter, will be filmed next
summer.

The story is based on David Stanley's own experiences as Elvis Presley's
bodyguard.

"Elvis by the Presleys" DVD extras.

The Elvis by the Presleys DVD extras are: (1) Elvis meets Nixon - Jerry
Schilling tells the story of Elvis' famous secret trip to Washington to meet
President Nixon.

It includes the wonderful tale of how Elvis gave all the money he had on him
to a solider returning Home after a long tour of duty in Vietnam. There is
no new footage or photos in the 11 minute section, but a great story of the
whole event. (2) Elvis: Karate Lasting just over 4 minutes the time is a
little disappointing but that can be forgiven by the huge amount of
previously unreleased film footage of Elvis giving his karate
demonstrations.

We have seen some of this footage in the 1981 movie 'This Is Elvis' but here
we get the actual original soundtrack with Elvis explaining about the inner
strength of the martial arts. (3) Memories:

This is a photo gallery looking back through Elvis' life in pictures. (4) 45
RPM - This is just simply a photo gallery of the U.S. singles that reached
gold and platinum status.

Rumor has it that the contract of David Bendeth, the Producer and mixer who

Jerry Presley now managed by Patsy Andersen.

Speaking of Patsy, she is now managing Elvis second cousin Jerry Presley and
you can book Jerry through Patsy for your events.

Apparently, not only does Jerry look like Elvis but has many of his
mannerisms. He is soft spoken, humble and very shy but I am sure now that
Patsy is in charge his career will take off. We have heard Jerry does a
great tribute show and its is nice to know a real Presley is carrying on
Elvis' music legacy. Jerry is related to Elvis in several ways but the first
is Elvis' great grandfather and Jerry's are brothers, then Rosella married
by into the Presley Family which was Jerry's family line.

If you would like more information on Jerry Presley and/or would like to
book him for a show, wedding, christening, barmitzvah, corporate function or
any Elvis Event:

50th anniversary of "Pied Piper" footage celebrations.

This fall in the US is the 50th aniversery of the filming of the Pied Piper
of Cleveland.

It was filmed at at Brooklyn High School in 1955. It was also Elvis's first
performance north of the Mason/Dixon line so I have been told.

There is a concert being set up for the fall and they are getting as many of
the original performers as possible. All profits go to benefit the schools

Lisa Presley ready to sue.

Lisa Presley is so furious with the US tabloids, she's now "just waiting"
for an opportunity to sue them. The LIGHTS OUT singer has become something
of a tabloid fixture over the years, with her marriages to MICHAEL JACKSON
and NICOLAS CAGE garnering huge attention.

But she's now decided that enough is enough - and she will not hesitate
taking legal action if she's unhappy with what they choose to print about
her. She says of the tabloids, "They're hanging on a limb with me right now.
I'm just waiting for them to make another move and I'm gonna go with all
guns loaded. I've kind of tried to warn them. "They're really bad right now.

The same person owns all three of the major ones. So it looks like there's
all these different things going on but it's the same damn people."

Fans shook up over Presley book.

Photo Priscilla signing yesterday at Waterstones in London's Oxford Street.

Priscilla Presley signed hundreds of copies of her book
He may have been dead for almost 28 years but anything to do with "the King"
Elvis Presley is still guaranteed to pull the crowds.
A book signing at Waterstones in London's Oxford Street by his former wife,
Priscilla Presley, proved no exception.

Fans queued from 0630BST for a glimpse of the woman who shared their hero's
life.

When Wednesday's one-hour signing began some six and a half hours later,
more than 500 fans had turned up, making the store into something of an
Elvis jamboree.

From men and women in their 20s, to couples in their 80s - including a
healthy smattering of Elvis impersonators - they stood in a long line,
snaking in and out of the aisles of books, as Mrs Presley posed for press
photographs.

Many had taken days off from work or re-arranged family commitments to be at
the signing, with one man flying in from the Republic of Ireland.

Clutching copies of her book, Elvis By The Presleys, they queued behind
crowd-control barriers, happily passing the time sharing anecdotes about
"The King" and comparing notes on trips to his hometown of Memphis.

Fans queued at the book shop for several hours

Excitement grew with each step nearer the front of the queue, where Mrs
Presley, a tiny figure with long dark hair and a deep-purple jacket, greeted
fans as she signed their copies.

At the back of the line, a floor up from where the signing was taking place,
fans with little hope of reaching the front before the visit was over waited
patiently as Elvis hits were relayed through the bookshop's speakers.

Grandmother Wendy Lane, 58, of Hornchurch, Essex, had been an Elvis fan
since her teenage years and has visited Memphis several times to pay homage
to her hero.

Clad in an Elvis t-shirt, with Elvis earrings and an Elvis watch, she was at
the signing with her son Steve and his wife, Debbie.

I couldn't believe how little she is and she seemed ever so nice.

Mark Green
Elvis impersonator

"I've got a room in my flat dedicated to Elvis - he's on the wall, he's
everywhere. I've got statues and pictures and plates," she said.

"My grandson, Harry, who's two-and-a-half is Elvis-mad as well, so we're
bringing him up the right way."

Mark Green, 35, an Elvis impersonator sporting an impressive black quiff,
travelled from Birmingham to be at the signing and was outside Waterstones
queuing from 0800 BST.

He said: "I'm a massive Elvis fan. I've been to Graceland and been on the
tours. I've got the autographs of most of the Elvis entourage but until
today I didn't have Priscilla's."

After queuing up to meet Mrs Presley with several copies of the book, he
said: "I couldn't believe how little she was and she seemed ever so nice.

"They told us she would only sign certain parts of the book, but she signed
the pictures and everything. And she asked where I was from and so on."

Some came in costume

Sue Carroll, 37, of Ealing, west London, was born into an Elvis-mad family
and has been a fan "from the time I took my first breath".

She never had the chance to see her hero perform live but says: "Elvis was
always played in our home. My Dad even had a quiff, though it's a very wispy
quiff now."

Sue met her husband through an Elvis fan club and her brother, who lives
abroad, has named his three children Lisa-Marie (after Elvis's daughter),
Aaron, (Elvis' middle name) and Jesse (after Elvis' twin).

She said: "I came here today because to actually see a Presley in the flesh
is really exciting. I think it's great that's she's keeping the memory
alive.

"As far as I'm concerned, you cannot beat Elvis's music. All those bands
today come and go and then they're finished but Elvis is always there."

Filmaker Adam Muskiewicz is looking to blaze a trail in the film industry in
his first film exploring the on-going myth of Elvis' death.
We all have seen the tabloids over the years and the constant hoaxing of
Elvis' death. Although the myth has evolved into a long-running joke, there
are still many unanswered questions about Elvis.

Adam is looking to finally put to rest these myths and explore the facts
from all angles to get to the real story in his new documentary film, The
Truth About Elvis.

Dave Sanford, Film Producer.

Letter from the Filmmaker

Dear Elvis Fans,

Welcome to TruthAboutElvis.com. My name is Adam Muskiewicz. Not too long
ago, a friend told me that he heard a credible story about Elvis Aron
Presley being alive and well. I strongly doubted his story, but I decided
that it would make a great basis for a documentary film.

I've seen the tabloids, and I know that the hoaxing of Elvis' death is a
well-known myth that many people have exploited. Although this myth seems to
have evolved into a long-running joke, there are still many unanswered
questions about Elvis. I have always been curious as to why this myth has
lingered so long. Does it have merit?

Even the commonly reported story about the death of Elvis is incomplete, so
I will explore the facts from all angles to find the actual truth. In the
end, I truly hope to uncover why and how Elvis left us, whether by death or
by the staging of it. I decided to call my film "The Truth About Elvis."

Within this site, I will do my best to keep you updated on the film's
progress through a journal of my work. If you have any tips, leads or
sightings that might be helpful, please email them to me at
truthaboutelvis@yahoo.com. I will post some of your leads on the site.
(Note: I will leave private or sensitive content off of the site at your
request.)

As a struggling filmmaker, I would sincerely appreciate any donations you
can make to this project. If you can find it in your heart to help me
complete this film, it would mean a great deal to me. Every dollar will
help. Please tell your friends.

As an incentive to gain your support, I have formed the Elvis-Spotters Club
with a number of my friends. If you make a donation of at least $10, we will
send you a bumper sticker and an Official Elvis-Spotters Club Membership
Certificate signed by me. (Sometimes, filmmakers have to be creative to get
a film made.)

I will do my best to make this film accurate and respectful of Elvis'
legacy. Thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoy this web site.

Sincerely,

Adam Muskiewicz

Al Green met Elvis in the "little boys" room.

Soul great Al Green had a bizarre one-off meeting with Elvis - at a urinal.
The tired of being alone legend was stunned on a night out clubbing in
Memphis, Tennessee, when he dashed to the toilet to relieve himself - only
to find the Jailhouse Rock legend standing next to him.

And despite his eagerness to shake hands with Presley, Green deemed it an
inopportune moment to make physical contact with him. He recalls, "I was
standing there at the urinal and I thought this fella looked like Elvis, so
I asked him.

He said, 'I am Elvis Presley and you sure look like Al Green.' "I'd liked to
have shaken his hand but it didn't seem like the right time to be getting so
close and intimate. That's the only time we ever met."

New Elvis Museum in Tupelo.

Jim Browder has the best tour company in Memphis and now he has opened a
Museum in Tupelo at Becky Martin's home with Mrs. Norma Presley, Elvis'
cousin. Becky Martin was a classmate of Elvis and she was much loved by
Elvis fans who visited Tupelo where she would recount stories of her
childhood with Elvis.

Becky sadly died but her collection lives on for fans to enjoy, courtesy of
Jim and Norma. You can visit Becky's home decorated throughout with Elvis
memorabilia going back from today to the 1950's. I have heard so many good
things about Jim who treats his guests like royalty and takes them on
fabulous tours of Memphis and Tupelo, charging very reasonable rates.

Nothing is too much for Jim and he has made many, many lifelong friends of
Elvis fans that visit Memphis and Tupelo and are treated to Jim's fine,
southern hospitality. JB TCB Tours & Shuttle Service 1016 East Main Street

Elvis by the Presleys in showroom VITO!  European Premiere In Belgium.

This Saturday and Sunday, when the double concert of "Elvis Classics II"
takes place, we present our visitors the European premiere of the 2DVD
"Elvis By The Presleys" on wide screen.

We already saw the double DVD, and we're amazed of the high quality. This
will be a definite must for the fans! The karate scene of 4 minutes is
nothing less than impressive: we can see Elvis walking down an aisle (after
having stepped out of a car) in a white karate gi.

He talks as if he was an expert-commentator on karate (which he obviously
was). After telling his audience about the new techniques, he also
demonstrates them. This definitely puts the nonsense story that the footage
was filmed without sound, to sleep. Jerry Schilling, who was there when the
movie was made, sheds another light to the unfinished documentary.

And this... is only 4 minutes of a set of almost 4 and a half hours! The DVD
is played non-stop on the first floor, on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 5
pm.

The show for Saturday is completely sold out, but we do have a few last
tickets left for Sunday: info@elvismatters.be

Elvis sculpture stolen.

The thief who stole a 3m Elvis Presley guitar sculpture from Nashville's
Music Row ain't nuthin' but a hound dog as far as irate fans are concerned.
A $US3000 ($3970) reward will be offered for the culprit's arrest unless he
or she returns the sculpture by Friday, officials said. One of more than two
dozen individual fibreglass Gibson guitars displayed throughout the city as
part of a Guitartown art project, the over-sized guitar featured a painting
of Presley on the front and the words Heartbreak Hotel arrayed down the
neck.

It vanished on Monday from its stand in front of the RCA building. Henry
Juszkiewicz, the chief executive of Gibson Guitars and sponsor of the
project, was dismayed. "If the sculpture is returned by Friday, no questions
will be asked and nobody will be punished," he said.

"It is in the best interest of everyone in Nashville to help us locate this
missing sculpture which was produced by local visual artist Alan Rhody and
hours of tireless volunteer work." He said the sculpture had been expected
to bring in $US20,000 ($26,500) at auction at the end of the year when the
art exhibit closes, with the money going to charity.

Elvis is in great voice, top physical shape and in an extremely relaxed
mood. Among the highlights are the usual big ballads like "You've Lost That
Lovin' Feelin'" and "I Just Can't Help Believin'". The rollicking "Polk
Salad Annie" is somewhat invigorated by impersonations of Engelbert
Humperdinck, Tom Jones and Glen Campbell. During the last few shows of the
season, for unknown reasons, Elvis excluded his biggest hit "Suspicious
Minds" leaving an emotional reading of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" to be
the climax of the concert.

The bonus material was taken from another master-tape recorded the day
before during the September 04, 1970 Midnight show. This particular show was
also not previously available within live-recording collectors circles. The
sound quality, however, is a tad below that of the featured show, but is
still very listenable. For "live rarity" freaks there are excerpts of Johnny
Cash's "I Walk The Line" and a previously unknown second live version of
"Crying Time".  Also included are several mumbled lines from Trini Lopez's
version of "La Bamba" as Trini Lopez was in the audience this evening, and
we get the earliest known excerpt of "My Way" during the introduction of
Paul Anka, who is author of this song.

The second CD release "ROCKIN' THE NORTHWEST" presents Elvis more than six
years later during his November 1976 Norhwest tour. It is apparent that
between October and December 1976 Elvis was in much better shape than when
compared to the previous nine months. There were no disastrous shows during
this tour and Elvis was singing with renewed vitality and the performances
were longer as well. The CD kicks off with a portion of the original
pre-program including the Sweet Inspirations. There are no real surprises in
this Elvis show but almost all of the songs were sung with gusto and energy
and it was apparent that Elvis was vocally strong this evening. Highlights
include a rolling "Steamroller Blues", a straight version of "It's Now Or
Never" still performed without Sherrill Nielsen's "O Sole Mio" prelude. The
patriotically stirring "America The Beautiful" is met with wild applause and
a powerhouse version of "Hurt" shows in full the raw power of Elvis' voice.
Just as with "ELVIS - THE MIDNIGHT HOUR", the original master-tape was
digitally restored for the best possible listening pleasure.

The Following Press Release Is For Dutch Viewers Only

PERSBERICHT

Uniek materiaal in documentaire RTV Noord-Holland over Elvis

Shop in Beverwijk en Pray to me Publishing.en www.praytome-publishing.com

Elvis a nazi caught on film?

Almost 28 years after his death, fans of the King of Rock, Elvis Presley,
can now see their icon in a radically different light; that as a Nazi. The
legend is seen wearing a Nazi cap and giving a Nazi salute in some pictures
taken from a grainy half-hour home cine film.

The pictures, believed to be from the Sixties, were taken during a boat trip
with friends and have surfaced at the same time as Presley's ex-wife
Priscilla released his home movies.

"I was given it ages ago, I think when I used to own a bar. But I had never
watched it. It wasn't until I found it in the loft that I decided to. When I
did I was shocked," the Sun quoted Mark Ernon, who owns the tape, as saying.

Note : The footage was filmed in the Summer of 1956 during a short break
from his career in Biloxi. It was taken by a gentleman called Eddie Bellman who
organised a boat for Elvis, his mother and father, June Juanico (Elvis' then girlfriend)
and some friends to go deep sea fishing.

"I brought a bunch of German officer caps back from World War 2" said
Bellman. June Juanico remembers: "Eddie brought these hats along because it was so
hot out on the water and he knew we would need to keep the sun of our heads."

Eddie Bellman added: "They put on the hats and started to fool around
singing and impersonating German soldiers, it was very funny to see."
