Elvis Unlimited will release a special souvenir CD for their gospel show this Saturday November 1, 2004.
The CD contains song by some of the performers at the show. Among them are The Sweet Inspirations, Bill Baize,
Maarten Jansen, Stephen Ackles & Stan Urban. Elvis is ofcourse talking about gospel music between every track on the CD.
The title of the CD is "Without A Song The Road Would Never End... So I'll Keep Singing A Song"
As a special bonus is the new tribute song by Stan Urban "Why Can't TheyLeave Him Alone" also included.
This song is a very nice tribute to Elvis. Stan will also perform the song at the show.
There will only be produced a limited amount of 1000 copies of this special CD.

How many of you have heard the live version of Pieces Of My Life that Elvis sings in Asheville on July 24 1975. I’ve heard on bootleg, (but can’t remember which one, can anyone tell me which bootleg it’s on?) but the sound quality is terrible and the tape has problems on it. Here’s a much better sounding sample, and it’s also from a totally different source to the version released on bootleg. I suppose this is the best we’ll get, unless Ernst finds a Soundboard recording of the show

Cameron Diaz and "Trading Spaces" Cast Added to Graceland Celebrity Visitors List.
On Sunday, October 19, the super-popular film actress Cameron Diaz toured Graceland.
This month, several episodes of the very popular television series Trading Spaces: Family , seen on The Learning Channel (TLC), are being shot in Memphis. On Friday, October 17, host Joe Farrell, designers Christi Proctor and Rick Rifle, and carpenter Carter Oosterhouse visited Graceland with their crew and taped a show intro and insert material for one of the Memphis episodes. (Air date not yet known. We'll post more info, along with photos, soon.) Today, designer Hilda Santo-Tomas dropped by for a tour as she arrived in town on her way to begin shooting a separate Memphis episode that that she is in. Last year, another of the cast of designers, Genevieve Gorder, came by for a tour.

Our third annual list of top-earning deceased celebrities tracks the posthumous business dealings of the biggest stars of yesteryear. This year we expanded our list of top earners from 13 to 19, in part to reflect a broader range of professions. But that doesn't mean the bar has been lowered. To qualify for our list, the person in question still must earn a minimum of $5 million annually.
For the third year in a row, Elvis remains King of the crypt, earning a stunning $40 million. Visits to Graceland were up 4% in the past year, to 600,000. A techno version of the forgotten song "Rubberneckin' " was used in a Toyota commercial. Bono, Tom Petty and Dave Matthews appeared on an NBC tribute last fall to strum and sing Presley tunes. And in the clearest sign that Elvis never really left the building, his 30 #1 Hits compilation CD sold more than 9 million copies around the world. A follow-up collection, 2nd to None, was released in mid-October and featured more hit singles and the previously unreleased "I'm a Roustabout." Well, Elvis's life has been publised in over 2000 books and publications now, and this amount is still growing. This weekend Duke Bardwell made his debut on European soil, and he was extremely excited about the success of both shows, which each were attended by more than 1,000 fans.
Together with Terry Mike Jeffrey he delighted the fans with a very strong set that included 'T.R.O.U.B.L.E.', 'Help Me', 'Promised Land' and 'Steamroller Blues'.

The other headliner, Charlie Hodge, was also in topform, and did a brilliant set that included 'I Will Be Home Again', 'His Hand In Mine' and 'Lawdy Miss Clawdy'.
His voice was as good as ever, and Charlie really seemed to enjoy himself.
One of the highlights of the show was a great version of 'Suspicious Minds' that included a verse being sung by Duke Bardwell - who has an outstanding voice! - and even some vocalizing by the illustrious fanclub president Peter Haan!

The new Ger Rijff book made its debut this weekend, and the first reports have been somewhat mixed.
Some people complained that many of the photos were printed too dark, and also about the fact that many of the photos are well-known. Is the famous Ger Rijff standard now slipping?
It's not a secret that Rijff's two latest books were not a success, and that the distributors still have a large overstock of both titles.

LOVE LETTERS FROM THE WARHOL.
Where is Elvis? The Man and His Reflection was an exhibit at The Warhol in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from June 15 until September 14.
The exhibit revealed some of the defining moments of Elvis’ rise to stardom in the 1950s and 1960s as captured and interpreted by the photographers who were there to witness it all. The exhibition included more than 70 black and white photographs by well-known photographers Norman Bergsma, Roger Marshutz, Ernest Withers, Bill Avery, Bill Ray, and Alfred Wertheimer among others. Andy Warhol’s silkscreen Elvis (Eleven Times) and Elvis-related material from the Museum’s archives were also on view.

2ND TO NONE COMES IN 4TH AT CHART UK.
The Kings latest offering "ELVIS 2ND TO NONE" is the highest new entry in the UK Top 40 album charts this week at number 4.
Elvis who died 26 years ago was never in with a chance of entering the #1 position due to the massive selling album by Dido.
Elvis missed out on securing a #2 position by a reported figure of only 1000 copies, that position is held by Robbie Williams with yet another (almost got to #1) album "Live at Knebworth".
Many fans bought their albums from through the internet or from fan clubs and those sales don't count towards chart placings.
"It's about time that the charts were compiled from sales direct from the record company."
BMG have shipped over 2 million copies of the album in it's first week of release.
The Paul Oakenfold remix of "Rubberneckin" fell to #17 this week in the UK Top 40 singles chart.

ACTRESS JULIE PARISH DIES.
Updated Information:
Actress Julie Parrish, who co-starred with Elvis Presley in Paradise, Hawaiian Style, died unexpectedly October 1. In recent years, Julie has participated in Elvis Week events in Memphis, including hosting the Official Elvis Collectors Club conference last August. We mourn the loss of a lovely, lovely friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends in this difficult time.

JULIE PARRISH
Julie Parrish, star of the 1967 CBS sitcom, Good Morning World has died at the age of 62. Ms. Parrish portrayed Linda on the show, which also featured the comedic talents of Billy De Wolfe, Joby Baker, Ronnie Schell and Goldie Hawn. She was a frequent guest star on programs such as Star Trek, Bonanza, My Three Sons, Family Affair and Beverly Hills 90210; with lead roles on television soap operas, including Betty Anderson Harrington on Return to Peyton Place and Maggie Brady on Capitol.
She starred in several films, including Paradise Hawaiian Style with Elvis Presley. In one of the most delightful moments of the film Elvis sings to her in a helicopter while she holds a group of dogs at bay. In Fireball 500 she starred with Frankie Avalon as the sophisticated Martha Brian.
Ms. Parrish's theatre credits include Absence of a Cello with Hans Conreid and Bill Christopher, and Memo with MacDonald Carey and Alan Alda. In Los Angeles, she received an L.A. Drama Critics Award for her portrayal of Maggie in Arthur Miller's After the Fall. She was also an accomplished writer and contributed essays, articles, and book reviews to many publications. Her writing credits include an episode of Laverne and Shirley. She enjoyed singing and often performed at shows and cabarets. She recorded a CD of country music entitled When We Dance
While in her late 40's, she began undergraduate studies. She earned a degree in Chemical Dependencies Counseling and was awarded the Chancellor's distinguished Honor Award at Los Angeles Mission College in Sylmar, CA. She served as a member of the Board of Directors of the L.A. Commission on Assaults Against Women, and worked as a counselor at Haven Hills Shelter for Battered Women. She spoke to audiences about domestic violence and visited schools to discuss dating violence.
She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1993, but after surgery and chemotherapy continued to work. In 1996 she began a recurring role on Beverly Hills 9021o. She portrayed Joan Diamond, the wife of series regular character Nat Bussichio, played by Joe E. Tatta. She experienced a relapse of cancer, a second surgery, and another course of chemotherapy in 1999.
She was born Ruby Joyce Wilbar on October 21, 1940 in Middlesboro, KY. At the age of 11, her family moved from Lake City, TN to Tecumseh, MI, where she graduated from high school. She attended modeling school in Toledo, OH, where she became active in theatre. Her film career began when she was chosen by Jerry Lewis as the winner of a national modeling contest, and was awarded a small part in the film It's Only Money, receiving her first film credit as "Joyce Wilbar". She next appeared in The Nutty Professor, billed as Julie Parrish.
Her death, of natural causes, occurred on Wednesday evening, October 1, 2003, at the ER of the Tarzana Community Hospital in Tarzana, CA.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Scheffler of Clinton, MI and Liza Phairow of Ashland, OR; and two brothers, Robert Wilbar of Tecumseh, MI and James Wilbar of La Mirada, CA. One sister, Janice Machan preceded her in death. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that donations be given to the cause of aiding battered women and their children. For more information visit

JetBlue Airways will salute Elvis Presley, the King of Rock'n'Roll, today by unveiling one of its fleet of 47 new Airbus A320s with the name "Blue Suede Shoes."
The plane naming has been timed to coincide with today's release by BMG/RCA of the highly anticipated Elvis Presley album "ELVIS 2ND TO NONE," a compilation of number one singles, fan favorites and career milestones all mixed and mastered from the original master tapes. The album also includes a newly-found song "I'm a Roustabout" and the #1 "Rubberneckin'" remixed by DJ Paul Oakenfold.
