This Excerpt ( 2 sentences ) published here, are the opening of their statement ( published on their own site july 8, 2003.. Now on page 4. )

Huh???, What??? The Editors of Elvis News.Com Lex and Lizzy Raaphorst are for many years now on Message boards -Newsgroups-Chat-boxes and they still do this, even up until today!!!

Where they have and still do bash, put people down in the Elvis-world and sometimes products of new items from Elvis releases official - un-official, because they don't like these producers, because these are not their friends.

Now to prove that I do NOT lie, I would suggest for the ones who are interested and who wants to SEE theTRUTH about the Editors Elvis News.Com, Lizzy and Lex Raaphorst, I suggest you go for example to the newsgroup Alternate Elvis King ( also known as AEK a big famous newsgroup in the US ) Go and search for the date July 11, 2003 with the Topic " Has Andylon gone stark sharking Crazy" .

There you see them jumping on this thread both Lizzy and Lex.

Lizzy answers ( if I am mad?) "she has been for a long long time" and later Lex also became quite active along with his Lizzy.

Now, ofcourse they were exspecting to get support on this thread, but instead the postings of others, it turned against them ( woulldn't be suprised one of their friends started this Topic, so they were able to inter- act on this.

After that date July 11, a lot more Topics followed on them, mostly making fun of Lex and Lizzy tried to back-up her husband by calling her "neurons" .

On one subject Lizzy might be right this time, yes I must have been mad or crazy to start writing the truth what was and still is going on the Elvis-World for a long, long time.

I had the guts to stick out my neck and for the firs time in the Elvis History, someone wrote the truth and opened a big melting stinking pot about what is really going on in the Elvis-scene.

I knew I wouldn' t be welcomed to those people who are "part of this stinkin' pot".

And the private and dirty e-mails, mostly with no name mentioned ofcourse. I can publish a book on this this matter.

But , I also received many positive e-mails from fans all over the world even people who have big names in the Elvis-scene one said "What you wrote Andylon, we wanted to say this for a long time...... but" ....

You and I understand they did not have te energy or braveness to do so, afraid it might loose their good name. Also because Elvis News.Com and the Fecc- site are seen as the biggest Elvis-sites Worldwide and can act like a God in a positive and negative way.

Now the latest prove you can find today on FECC forum on the Topic Disneyland.com ( 1st page )

And again you see Lizy jumping on this thread and ofcourse our good old Sven ( who supposed to be Lex as nick name, this is known for quite a long time by producers )

Sven, was always there on their own forum at Elvis News in the past, bashing product from their so called enemies- producers and always reacted positive on posting messages if it was a product from one of their own friends.

Now, I know already exactly how they will react ( and they did in the past ) on this issue"" Yes, but we make postings as private persons, as Elvis Fans, you can not make us responsible what we write because this is not Elvis News.Com writing. So they "Elvis News.Com" are not responsible . We are Lex and Lizzy Raaphorst writing private.

Again this is a narrow -minded excuse to do so and Elvis Fans KNOW that they are posting these messages and see them at the same time as the Editors of their site.

I decided today, to close the book on this issue Elvis News.Com and the FEC-C Site, that has been published for the last 12 days. I have been able to open some eyes for the Elvis-Fans and hope " this whole Elvis-scene with the stinkin' melting - pot" once will stop and we hope some of them will change their behaviour and their bad atittude in the future, so we can exspect more onnest non-biased, non-fake reviews / statements and less false rumors from the Elvis world in the future.

I hope for the best ,but I fear for the worst.......

The Ep.gold readers can exspect as of tomorrow our normal Elvis news again, up to the last minute

And I am glad I am able to put all my positive energy again in to Elvis, his music and his legacy.

Elvis items pulled from eBay after no one bites

A Fort Lauderdale, Fla., hairdresser on Friday pulled a tooth that may have once belonged to Elvis Presley from an Internet auction that failed to draw a $100,000 minimum bid for the tooth and a lot that also included a lock of Elvis's hair and a gold record for the Elvis song Love Me Tender.

Computer technician Anthony DeFontes, who said he represented salon owner Flo Briggs in the eBay auction, said the items did not attract a single legitimate bidder at the $100,000 reserve limit since the auction began July 5. They now plan to break up the lot, posting each item separately in hopes of attracting buyers specifically interested in each item at a $50,000 minimum "that may be more affordable" for potential buyers.

When the items were first posted on eBay on July 5, bidding quickly jumped to the $2 million range, but they "were fraudulent bidders," DeFontes said. He said eBay notified him the bidding would have to be restarted with bidders verified and pre-approved before their bids would be posted. Twelve collectors were pre-approved, but bidders later retracted their bids, he said.

He said the items were part of a collection sold by Memphian Jimmy Velvet who displayed them in an Elvis museum in Branson, Mo.

PAUL OAKENFOLD VISITS GRACELAND.

Renowned DJ/remixer Paul Oakenfold has a club gig at Hard Rock Cafe in Memphis tonight. Early this evening, he toured Graceland. Oakenfold produced the soon-to-be-released remix of Elvis' 1969 recording Rubberneckin'.

Upon his arrival at Graceland, the staff presented a special gift of congratulations and appreciation to him -an original Rubberneckin' retail sheet music booklet and an original-issue Elvis 45 r.p.m. Rubberneckin' single with picture sleeve, all nicely framed together. During his visit, Oakenfold taped an interview with the Graceland video crew for inclusion in future postings here on Elvis.com in connection with promotions for the new remix single.

Paul Oakenfold is the latest addition to the Graceland Celebrity Visitors list, which is permanently posted in the News Archive here on Elvis.com.

THE FECC WEBSITE - "FORUM".

There have been persons banned from the FECC messageboard only because they used the word www.epgold.com. ( This seemed to be going on for months on this site )

Since I found out about this practice; I no longer visit their site. Simple as that. There is no use in visiting a website that has adapted their software in order to automatically change the word www.epgold.com into disney.com What a waste of energy.

The bottomline is that I put this topic on the board to give the readers a chance and a possibility to read the other side of the story. Nothing more, nothing less. The ElvisNews statement did not mention the name of the other site. So fans only could read their view. Now what is a statement worth when you cannot read the other part of the story? Tháts the reason why I informed the readers about the name of the website of Andylon.

I wanted to take a sideline view, but in recent days I have had phone calls and e-mails from people, informing about what exactly is going on. And it really smells fishy!

It's sad to read that I am banned from FECC only to inform my fellow friends, and to see that they have software installed to change the words EPGOLD into DISNEY.

And what a coincidence that ElvisNews has deleted the 'Reactions' option on their website. Strange, strange.

I noticed the editor(s) of the fecc "forum" do not comply rule no.3 of their own guidelines if it suits their own needs...
And I do not understand real elvisfans writing on this board if the owners do not play this "game" by their own rules...

I stopped visiting the sites mentioned earlier for a long time now, must have been since i realized they are into the elvis-scene for their own personal gain and not for "Keeping the King alive"....

Andylon, please remember this lyric:

Well, you can knock me down, Step in my face, Slander my name All over the place.
Do anything that you want to do, but uh-uh, Honey, lay off of my shoes

MEMORY RECORDS ABOUT ELVISNEWS

ElvisNews is what we would call unprofessional and basically bad journalism.
We have always tried to be very fair with ElvisNews, always offering them free copies or discounts on our releases, but we're disappointed with their attitude.
But perhaps it's not so surprising. The releases on Memory Records have always been a source of controversy among those circles - probably because it was not them that released the material first?

Our groundbreaking releases have in the past always been attacked and criticised unfairly by "certain" websites and individuals (e.g. ElvisNews), while the fans always have been very happy about our releases.

We understand they have their own reasons for putting our releases down and we can even imagine that there may be some bootlegger behind these campaigns, who is already now planning to steal our work and release (without even paying any royalties) an inferior copy of our CD.

Sounds unbelievable?
Well, several of our releases like "Echoes Of Love" have already been bootlegged. The bootleggers even used our artwork (but the quality is clearly inferior)! We can only stress - MEMORY records are not a big record company, struggling to make money and trying to survive in a big World.

All we are asking is that you see these "anti-campaigns" by those parties for what it is, and that you form your own opinion.

They have tried to undermine our releases right from the start, but fact of the matter is that we have been able to release some wonderful Elvis CDs for you, filled with outtakes and rarities. Our aim is to serve Elvis fans worldwide.

Well I knew that the name disneyland.com was going on for a long time on the fecc forum.
But what was more shocking to me that I saw several official statements made by the editors willem Kaauw and claude baker. On their fecc forum they deleted messages when it concerned ep.gold mentioned by their visitors that the reason they gave and i quote litterly:

"The people behind ep.gold are GARBAGE AND THRASH."

That was not only shocking to me to read , this because if you see all the names listed at ep.gold on their columnists and volunteers this must be for those people with some big names in the elvis world a big insult.

Shame on you editors from fecc Willem Kaauw and Claude Baker.

I am (sometimes) on the FECC messageboard under the name MaHaLo and I have always used my name and the name from my wife under any topic or responds !
People must not think , they must only read the news or whatever on messageboard ! I have a lot of humor and I am always in for a joke but i will never uses another name to put people into the bad light !

Beatles vs Elvis: Who is number one?

The acts shared the UK record for 25 years

Elvis Presley and The Beatles represent the two poles of pop music superstardom.

On one side, the patriotic American truck driver with a voice that conquered the world over a two-decade career - and on the other, the four sharp-tongued Liverpudlians who came and went with the 60s but changed pop history.

Both acts have huge, devoted followings - and both have, for more than two decades, tied for the honour of having the most UK chart-topping singles - 17.

The Beatles' compilation '1' was another huge seller

But on Sunday Elvis clinched a new number one with A Little Less Conversation and pulled ahead, to 18 number ones.

Elvis's impressive total has made history - but Beatles fans might point out it took him a long time to do it.

His first 17 number ones were amassed over the twenty years from All Shook Up in June 1957 to Way Down at the time of his death in August 1977.

And his 18th chart topper means that he has taken exactly 45 years to break The Beatles' record.

The Fab Four's number ones came between April 1963 - From Me To You - and June 1969 - The Ballad Of John And Yoko - just over six years.

And the Beatles' solo efforts have resulted in a further seven UK number ones since the band split in 1970.

Elvis's last number one - until 2002 - came in 1977

There is another point that Beatles fans like to make.

Many dispute the number two placing of the group's second single, Please Please Me, in 1963.

Chart watcher David Stark of Songlink magazine told BBC News Online: "Technically they had 17 number ones, but Please Please Me was number one in every chart except that of Record Retailer, now Music Week, which is seen as the chart of record.

"So in my opinion Elvis has just equalled them.

"But it's a great record - and it's definitely the longest period between an artist's first and last number ones."

But, Mr Stark added: "Andy Williams had his first number one, Butterfly, in April 1957.

"So if his new record with Denise Van Outen - a version of Can't Take My Eyes Off You - hits number one, records could tumble again."

There are 5,040 images of the pin-up soccer star on the web - morethan Princess Diana and Tony Blair - according to search engine Google.

NEW EXCITING BOOK FROM AUSTRALIA

Some years ago our Australian correspondent Bob Hayden had an article printed in ELVIS TODAY titled "Hey Mr Gordon".
It briefly told of the Australian promoter touring Elvis during 1957.

Well the complete Lee Gordon and Elvis Presley association during 1957 has now been included as part of the new book titled "BIG SHOWS - The LEE GORDON YEARS" by Alan Heffernan.

Alan Heffernan who was Lee's partner and right hand man through all those years approached Bob to be the consultant for the Elvis tour details of 1957 and also supply some pictures for the book.

A special THANK YOU to Bob was included in the book by Alan.

We have been advised that Alan considered Bob to be one of Australia's foremost authorities on Elvis Presley, and more important, his live tours, and so wanted to use all the details that Bob had at his disposal. Alan was amazed that Bob supplied so much information, that not all could be used at this time.

Thank you for making clear what is going on in the Elvis World and especially with Elvis News.com and the website for Elvis Collectors Only website only. (FECC)

Nearly every producer in the Elvis world got big problems with them in the past and so are we!
They got caught now so many times by the fans doing faked reviews.
They promote products done by their friends and bashed products of all the other people.

As a News Site they should stay with News instead of doing propaganda.
Maybe it´s because they got no own news (90% is copied from you site in the past,sometimes not even with correct source that its from you).
later on For Elvis Collectors Only copied it and and named Elvis News as the source, this is not only bad, this is ilegal !

Now about Elvis News.com:
On their messageboard (is it ok. to have that on a newssite? ) they are bashing, also under different names and sometimes they use even ugly words and use them under their own names ( Editors ElvisNews )

After all the ugly stuff happened there everyday, we want to correct this with an offical statement.

With there lies!

Do you know what they have done? They changed my posting! on information on our book "Behind The Image" , and made it look like that the book was nothing special at all.

That was enough and we had to call our lawyer....do we really need another ugly messageboard?

(:- I don´t think so the For Elvis Collectors board is enough :-) .

SOME THINGS IN LIFE I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND.

There have been many great web sites over the years. They have been an invaluable source of information To Elvis fans around the world. These sites have been a great, unbiased third party to help keep us all informed of new releases and other important news. I have been saddened more and more in recent months at the childish way that people running the sites have been treating each other. It has turned into malicious attacks that are just not called for.

THE UNBIASED REPORTS AND LIES ON SOME ELVIS WEBSITES.

The unbiased reports soon turn to outright lies about other products or their producers. How do I know?
It has happened to me. I have witnessed first hand the bitterness and lies that try to harm and discredit The efforts to bring good products to the fans who want them. I have seen comments written that were totally untrue. Not a personal preference about what someone didn't particularly like, but outright lies.

GOOD COMMENTS REMOVED.

I have seen others say good comments on the same board, only to have them removed almost immediately after they are posted. The typical fan visiting the site has no idea when they read these things that they are lies. and that all of the positive comments or posts exposing the lies, are all removed. This leaves the person reading the post with an untrue and unfair representation of the actual product and the people who put it out. It is not fair to do to the people behind these products, and it is not fair to mislead the fans that visit these web sites.

I WILL NOT MENTION THESE SITES BY NAME.

I will not mention any of these sites by name. I only wish they would go back to being the great, informative but unbiased sites that they once were and I know they can be again. There is room for everyone in the Elvis world, but there is no room for hatred. I only wish everyone could band together and treat each other with respect and dignity. After all we are all here for the same reason.

I would like to mention one site that has always been a great site for up to the minute news and information: EPGOLD.COM. I have personally
known Andylon Lensen for many years and know all the hard work that has gone into making EPGOLD what it is today. The news from EPGOLD is often taken directly from this site and used on other sites that want a news segment to their web site. The fact that they are using this material is proof of how comprehensive and informative the news is on EPGOLD.COM.

NOT A DIME.

I admire a site that reports the news and reviews of products from an unbiased viewpoint. If it is Elvis related, we all want to know about it and where it is available. There, most items are advertised as a public service to fans everywhere, and people are directed to the place that they are available without a dime of profit going to anyone at EPGOLD.

DEGRADING THINGS AND ACTUALLY BREAKS INTO HER WEBSITE EP.GOLD

I am proud to be friends with Andylon and I am ashamed of some of the degrading things that are being done and said about EPGOLD and Andylon Lensen. When someone actually breaks into her website, and defaces Elvis on the cover of the upcoming DVD: Elvis: Behind The Image Vol. 2 by drawing a mustache on Elvis, that is bad enough. But to send ugly e-mails, and drag someone's personal life into the mix is taking things too far.

THE HATRED.

The hatred I have witnessed is unbelievable. Attempts to damage reputations and out right destroy each other is just plain wrong.
I am no one special & just a fan who wants to see great things done in memory of Elvis. I know everyone has had their differences in the past, but I suggest we put that all behind us and pull together in the same direction. It's a lot less work and a lot more fun.

"THE KINGS THINGS" .

Well fans, I realize that it has been a few months, ok alot of months since my last column, however never fear, I have returned. A bit more knowledgable, and more information to pass along to you. I would like to make a few corrections. In a prior column, I had stated that many of Elvis Presley's early autographs came from the Netherlands and Germany as a result of Elvis' Army status. however, do not assume all items from this region are authentic. No, in fact there has been a counterfit ring of memorbilia coming from Germany ( German Elvis Museum) the Netherlands. It also appears that many members of Elvis' Memphis Mafia will state anything is authentic if you pass them along a few dollars. So how do you make a real determination if something is real or not? Well for one look where the King was born and raised, the United States. This is were MOST of his authentic autographs truly come from. Elvis Never did tour outside of the US, as the Colonel was an illegal alien. So all of his post 1960 autographs will be from here, as well many early autographs. His 1954-1958 autographs are all United States. As well, please keep in mind Elvis hated to write, so many of the "writings" of Elvis are Fake. Do not spend thousands of dollars on Elvis items that are not real, I dont care who signed the letter of authenticity. Also be VERY cautious of anyone selling personal belongings of Elvis, Think about it, there just is not that much of the stuff out there. Why would someone outside the US own a horde of Elvis Personal Items from the 70's? It does not make sense. As well, be cautious of anyone with "Numerous" or a seemingly unended amount of Elvis autographs. It took me 9 years and over $10,000 before I finally started to acquire GENUINE items, ALL were from the United States, and all come at a cost. You do not get Elvis' shirt for $1500, and be aware of exceptionally rare Elvis items, One of a kind things that if they even still existed, Graceland would probably own not some private collector trying to sell it to you. First of all, thank you Andylon, for becoming a columnist on your fantastic website.
It is really a pleasure and a honor for me to be part of EP Gold in the future. Hopefully the Elvis fans enjoying my storys and comments, sometimes with fair comments, sometimes funny. I guess , I have a good composition of both.

You presenting really interesting information which are based on facts and NOT based on rumours. Well, indeed, you have very good information sources. Thank you for sharing these „first hand information“ with the whole Elvis community.

Who I am?

I was born about 10.000 years ago…not really…I was born January,20th 1964 in Voelklingen/Germany. 1976 I got the chance to became an Elvis fan. The story began in a record shop and I looked for the new single of Pussycat (pop group in Netherland) and their new song „Mississippi“. It was one of the greatest hits this year in europe. The song was sold out. But I found another single from a man, who was born in Tupelo/Mississippi. Oh boy! At this time I knew the name Elvis Presley, but nothing else. I picked up the single called „Green green grass of home“ backsided with „Make the world go away“.

Oh lord have mercy. I heard the voice and was caught in a trap. The Elvis trap. At the same evening I heard the single 30-40 times, mostly the B-side. I loved his voice from the first moment on. One year later, August, 16th 1977 , Elvis died and I started to collect every RCA escape ..uh.. release. The german television started to broadcast the most movies, his famous Aloha T.V special ,his 1968 comeback special and some TV documentations. I saw Elvis for the first time in action and was infected from the Elvis virus. I bought books, videos etc. I was listening to german radio stations with „Rock and Roll“ and „Oldies“ sections. I became a great Rock’n Roll fan beside Elvis.
Other music favourites are Sting, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Isaak, Robbie Williams and the female jazz singer Diana Krall.

In the late 80‘s I also started to collect rare stuff, like Juergen Keilwerth. Rare outtakes and rare live recordings. First on vinyl and then on CD. I came in contact with Bernhard Seibel and Helmut Radermacher from the german EPG. EPG started a great LP set called „Rare Elvis“ with wonderful outtakes. I guess, these were the first official RCA records with outtakes and studio talk. When you are starting with these items, you are hungry for more and more rare Elvis recordings ..lol..
Today I have a very good collection of vinyl , original RCA records and hundreds of Cd’s.
But Iam sure, Iam not finished.

With the help of the internet, I met very nice people worldwide. It is good to know, that there are millions of crazy people like me.

Since 2002 Iam also working as a Radio DJ at a local Radio station called Radio Rheinwelle in Wiesbaden. Iam presenting a monthly Elvis Radio Show called „The king strikes back“. In every show I have a special Elvis topic like

Elvis sings the blues
Country boy Elvis
Latin Elvis
Elvis Dance Party
Elvis in Vegas
…..

There are lot of Elvis issues for a radio show.
2003 I used the opportunity to make interviews with Glen D. Hardin and Jerry Scheff at the yearly EPG meeting in Braunfels/Germany. But that’s another story…

I still have email contact with Jerry, Joe Esposito and some people from EPE.

I have also further information from people in Wiesbaden, who met Elvis during his army time in Germany.
