NEW FTD CD. RELEASE OCTOBER,2003 MOTHERS DAY SHOW' 73.
The October 1, 2003 release will be the Lake Tahoe 3 A.M. Mothers Day show from 1973. We normally do not release 2 soundboards following each other, but as RCA is releasing “ CLOSE UP ” this summer – comprising of 3 studio outtakes CD’s and a 16 track live recording, we felt that the variety we are aiming for is best served by a soundboard release for October.

REVIEW THE LAST ELVIS IN CONCERT HEINEKEN MUSIC HALL AMSTERDAM JUNE 8,2003.
By Jacky de Vries.
Again our Columnist Jacky de Vries also wrote a great review for the last
Elvis In Concert from the Heineken Music Hall from last Sunday June 8th, 2003.

Elvis "last concert" brings no surprises.
The concert held Sunday evening (june 8 ‘03) in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam was probably the last Elvis Concert ever, admitted a member of the crew after the show. Fans were hoping for suprises (Lisa Marie?), but it didn’t happen. Nevertheless Elvis the Concert in Amsterdam was a wonderful event.
It was a different show than the one held in Ahoy, Rotterdam, last tuesday. In Ahoy everyone was seated, in the modern Heineken Music Hall it was standing room only (except for a few seats in the back of the room). Probably that was the reason that the ambiance was more loose. The audience was dancing and singing along, on a larger scale than in Rotterdam.
People of all ages en from all over the continent had found their way to the Heineken Music Hall. The crowd was in a good mood, laughing and talking while waiting for the event to begin. When the bandmembers arrived on stage the crowd started yelling, but there was a impressive silence when Also sprach Zarathustra sounded.
But the applause and the yelling started again when The King came in sight. "I’m not a real Elvis-fan", said Albert , a young man from Hoogcrutz, a town in the southern part of Holland. "But this is fantastic, seeing The King on a large screen, those great musicians playing live. This is a cool night for all musiclovers."
According to some fans the sound was much better than in Ahoy. "The latter is a thirty year old sportpalace, the Heineken Music Hall was just build for concerts and events like this."
In the first part The King sang a lot of his old fifty-hits, like Teddy Bear and Hound Dog. In the second part of the show a lot of his later successes came along. Just Pretend, The Wonder of You, My Way. Songs that caused a great respond from the audience. The enthousiasm seemed to infect the members of The TCB Band and the backing vocalists. It looked like they were enjoying themselves more than they did in Ahoy.
Even the solos of The Stamps (Sweet Spirit) and The Sweet Inspirations (Sweet Inspiration) caused a lot of enthousiasm and applause. When Can’t Help Falling in Love ended and ‘Elvis has left the building’ was spoken it was all over. The musicians accepted the applause, standing on a row on stage, but there were no surprises, no special guests to mark this historical night. According to a lot of people Elvis and his musicians will never again be united.
Some people tried to change fate with a ‘We want more’, but James Burton, Jerry Scheff, Glenn Hardin, Ronnie Tutt, Joe Guercio, The Stamps and The Sweet inspirations left the stage and didnt come back. The crew immediatly started to break down the set. "That’s a pity", said Martin, a dutch Elvisfan. "It is like an anticlimax. It was a great show, but I hoped for a better ending."
The bandmembers didn’t answer any questions like that, when they left the Music Hall and stepped into their bus. "It was a good show", was the only reaction. "They are tired", a member of the crew said. "This was the most succesfull tour of Elvis The Concert. And indeed, probably the last."

ELVIS IS SEXIER THAN JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IN POLL.
He may be one of the world's most lusted-after stars but Justin Timberlake (at #14) is less sexy than Elvis Presley at #13, according to pop fans. And Timberlake finishes only one place ahead of Eighties relics Duran Duran in a U.K. poll for music channel VH1.
The accolade of world's sexiest music star unsurprisingly goes to Kylie Minogue who famously danced with Timberlake at the Brits earlier this year.

NEW BOOK FROM MY HAPPINESS FRANCE.
50 ANS AVEC ELVIS.

Jean Marie Pouzenc, the president of the Elvis My Happiness fan club, will come with a new French book "50 Ans Avec Elvis" (Fifty Years With Elvis) on October 3, 2003. This book covers the fifty years between the very first known recording of Elvis Presley , My Happiness (1953) until now. In this book he will make you walk this half-century, with Elvis, through the main milestones of his career: records, movies, television... his work: rock, gospel, country and his life: his family, religion, and karate. The truth has been twisted many times, this book should be the true story of the King.

TCB BAND BOOKED FOR PARIS.
Elvis's back-up band is coming to Europe again, for a series of shows with the French singer Frank Michael. The TCB-band has recently cut a studio album with Frank in Nashville, and is now ready to do the songs live. Next European reunion for James Burton, Jerry Scheff, Ron Tutt and Glenn D. Hardin is scheduled for Saturday evening October 18th at the Olympia Hall in Paris, France.
Because of the Paris concerts, Glenn D. Hardin won't attend the conventions in Knokke and Dordrecht. James Burton however, has confirmed that he will be doing a live show in Mol, Belgium the week prior to the Paris gig. Tickets for that event are selling like hot pancakes, so don't miss this wonderful opportunity to see the greatest guitar player live on stage!

ELVIS IN THE STUDIO BOOK COMING IN JULY.
We will have information soon on a new (possibly hardbound and supposedly 666 pages!) book that will detail all of Elvis' recording sessions from 1953 - 1977. This will include many new discoveries such as a lot more SUN session info; an unreleased 1956 home recording; '56-'57 "live"show recording info; much more info on movie recordings; close to complete TTWII and ON TOUR recordings; info on hundreds of soundboards; and more. This book has been in the making for 10 years or more! We saw a sample of the pages and it's done like Sebastian's INCREDIBLE MASTER & SESSIONS site where each take is listed and noted ,if released, where it can be found! This will be an unbelievable book! STAY TUNED!! (This is NOT the JAT book!!)

LISA MARIE CONTINUES TO SHOW STYLE IN RECENT INTERVIEWS.

LISA MARIE PRESLEY just goes from incredible to more of the same in her recent spate of interviews, culminating in the current Playboy for July. Speaking of her mother, Priscilla, she says, "She watched me closely. After I read her book, I realized why. She'd done things that weren't what your average 14-year-old would do. And I was doing the exact same things."
You do recall that Priscilla caught the eye of Elvis when she was only 14, and the rest, as they say, became history. Today, the King would probably go to jail for that sort of behavior.
I think Lisa Marie's current Q&A chat with Rob Tannenbaum may be her best yet. She is down-to-the-bone honest, strikingly, amusingly profane and so appealing that you want to sit down and share a glass or two of red with her. ("It has to be more than $300 a bottle, because then I don't get as bad a hangover!")
Almost every remark this girl makes - whether about Dad, Mom, Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage, her career, her kids, her publicity, the old entourage of her Daddy, how much she likes sex, whether or not she has lesbian tendencies - is quotable, ferocious and funny, but her love of expletives has to be censored somewhat.
She is especially amusing speaking of the famed Graceland family burial plot. Asked if she'll be interred on the Memphis grounds, Lisa Marie quips, "I don't plan on anything. I'm sure I'll end up there. Or I'll shrink my head and put it in a glass box in the living room. I'll get more tourists to Graceland that way."
We are all enriched in this world of celebrity info mania by having Lisa Marie Presley decide to come out into our midst as an adult.

HI EP.GOLD READERS,
The Ladies Home Journal features an interview with Priscilla Presley in ther upcoming July 2003 issue. It hits newsstands on June 10.
PRISCILLA PRESLEY: “NO ONE HAS HEARD MY SIDE OF THE STORY”
IN THE JULY ISSUE OF LADIES’ HOME JOURNAL MAGAZINE
NEW YORK—In a rare interview, Priscilla Presley opens up about her daughter Lisa Marie’s marriages and her own private memories of Elvis in the July 2003 issue of Ladies’ Home Journal.
When Lisa Marie was 8-years-old, her proud father, Elvis, gave his beloved child a mink coat and a diamond ring. Elvis spoiled their little girl so much that Lisa Marie would throw tantrums when she returned to her mother after a Daddy visit, screaming, “I wanna go back to Graceland!” There, Elvis allowed Lisa Marie to tear around in her own golf cart until 4 a.m. “She was a terror when I got her back,” says Priscilla.
When Lisa Marie turned 16, Priscilla handed her a unique gift. “I gave her all the tabloids I had kept, everything that was written about her. And me. She got the message: No matter what you do-or don’t do-your past will always find you. “
Regarding Lisa Marie’s marriage to Michael Jackson, Priscilla says, “Oh, my God, that relationship was the hardest to watch. People have asked my, ‘Why didn’t you say something?’ As a mother, I certainly didn’t want to sever my relationship with my daughter or my grandchildren. If I were to say, ‘Don’t marry him,’ she would look at me and go, ‘Well, screw you.’ I had to be really delicate about it. I’d already told her, ‘Look at the timing here, he needs you.’” The courting came just after Jackson’s child-molestation allegations. Quietly, Priscilla urged her daughter, “Look for the red flags. Just be careful, honey.”
Priscilla had sensed something odd early on, when Lisa Marie was still married to Keough and had just given birth to their second child. Even then, “Michael had an agenda. He called me while I was still doing Dallas and asked to meet Lisa Marie. It was just when he was getting Neverland together. So Michael is calling, and I was a little bit suspicious.” Looking back she realizes the fix was in. “This fit into his big scheme. I mean Graceland…Neverland? King of Rock…King of Pop? You have to open your eyes.”
“I didn’t want to say too much so she’d run to him. I was biting my tongue, afraid to read the paper, afraid to watch the news. Because there were so many things he was doing with her [after they were married]. He would show up in Memphis when there was a tribute to her father knowing the commotion he brings. Or he would just disappear. I think she started seeing things as it progressed. But as a mother sitting back, watching that, it’s horrifying.”
On the Diane Sawyer interview: “I was stunned. It was another manipulation.” Priscilla says that those read flags were bristling all over the TV screen. “Seeing her sitting there protecting him, looking very defiant and defensive, I knew that the marriage was in trouble. Because she couldn’t have gone on like that. Lisa’s too outspoken to be so cautious and contain herself that way. I knew she couldn’t continue that type of relationship, that’s for sure.” And when the credits rolled? “We were stunned. No one said anything.”
On the brief marriage to Nicholas Cage last year: “probably more of that rebelliousness she has in her…I see how she’s following in my path of dating and marrying superstars.”
Few 58-year-old grandmas look as good as Priscilla. Any woman would be moved to ask: despite all the dramas, no frown lines? How? “I’ll tell you why I have no lines. Elvis used to slap me in the forehead every time I looked up. He’d tell me not to use my forehead to look up, only use my eyes. Pow! I still feel his hand there. I’ve never had Botox, any of that, in my forehead.” She simply never furrowed, no matter what. If she hunched over, Elvis would tap her on the back.
Priscilla says she doesn’t regret her days as Mrs. Presley. But she does understand now what made it so unworkable. “I lived somebody else’s life. It was never about me, it was really about him on every level.”
Priscilla says Elvis brought out the mothering quality in her. “I cut his meat up for him. I tasted it before he ever had it. I would fix his deviled eggs, cut off the top, put his butter in, and prepare all his food as a mother would for a child. I would test it to see if it was too hot. Even making his coffee…I loved doing it for him. We’d all baby him.”
She also tells LHJ that it was hard telling Elvis the truth, even about how he looked in those white jumpsuits. She reveals that when she told him “you really shouldn’t be wearing those anymore…it’s not looking good,” Elvis would turn to his entourage to ask their opinion and they would say he looked “great.”
Priscilla wants people to understand, “I have absolutely no anger. I don’t look back and go ‘Oh my gosh, look what happened to us.’ I lived a really wonderful life with this man and even after our divorce, it was incredible. We had a closer bond, probably because the effort was off and there was just purity. We realized that we liked each other, and that’s very special.”
As for the future, Priscilla is working on a Broadway musical about her life which she says will be very uplifting and, very visual “part Dreamgirls, part Hairspray.”
She has also bought the rights to the Peter Sellers classic comedy, The Party, and is working with Austin Powers director Jay Roach, and co-producer Darren Star, late of Sex in the City.
The July issue of Ladies’ Home Journal magazine will be on newsstands beginning June 10, 2003.

A REVIEW FROM THE TRIANGLE-LABEL RELEASE A PERFECT GIFT.
By Stefan Kock.

A new label, a new cd. Before me lies the first cd of the new TRIANGLE label. An audience recording covering a special May 13th 1973 3am Mothers day concert. It seems that the soundboard era is coming near its end, as most of the concerts released nowadays are audience recordings, but we have had some really good ones from the Czech fan club that had , an overall, good sound for audience recordings.
What can one say about Presley’s May ´73 Tahoe performances? Firstly, these performances are certainly better than the Vegas performances earlier that year. Throat problems caused Elvis to cancel several concerts during that engagement and, naturally, his voice was very weak. The tour following Vegas (April 22nd – April 30th) was of a far better level, with the Portland performance on the 27th being the best show.
On May 4th 1973 Elvis opened what would become his 2nd engagement at Del Webb’s Sahara Hotel in Lake Tahoe – Stateline, California. Elvis first performances in Lake Tahoe, almost 2 years earlier, in July 1971 were outstanding shows and most certainly the best he gave that year. As is often the case with movies, it’s very hard to match these performances with the first.
The shows were tight, good sung and often humorous. There was a good variation between songs. Rare songs sung during this engagement were among others: Faded Love, All Shook Up, Heartbreak Hotel and I’m Leaving.
Now, let get on with this new cd. The packaging is beautiful. The cover features a great shot from August ´73 whilst the inside and the back cover featuring two great shots from Elvis in the Red Flower Suit. Also on the inside are two, small, pictures from this actual Tahoe engagement. This packaging is a relief after so many crappy looking audience recordings we’ve had in the past.
The sound on this disc is surprisingly good. The original master tape was used for this disc and that can be heard. It must have taken some time, care and patience to get this sound, but I would say it’s even better than the first disc of the 1st Fort Baxter box several years ago. All instruments (including the orchestra), Elvis’s voice, the backup singers and even the audience can be heard clearly without distracting from each other. This is one of those disc where you really get the feeling of being there. Listen to the beautiful orchestration during Help Me Make It Trough The Night, the fantastic bass playing during Steamroller Blues or the brilliant guitar licks during Suspicious Minds.
The show itself is very good. Elvis is in great voice (though not as good as would be the case during the coming Vegas engagement) and delivers a very entertaining show with even some surprises. Old and new songs are mixed quite well and show how much of a great musician Elvis really was. See See Rider is strong, as is I Got A Woman. Help Me Make It Trough The Night is a heartfelt delivery (because of the great sound the orchestration isn’t as overwhelming as on for example FTD´s Dinner At Eight) and Steamroller Blues is a real highlight. My Way and What Now My Love are both equally strong performances. There isn’t much talking from Elvis during the show, but I’ll Remember You is a complete throwaway because of talking and laughter. Bridge Over Troubled Water is a great rendition and again because of the sound one can really learn to appreciate the orchestration. It’s Over is a nice surprise to this show (although it was sung on more than this occasion during this engagement), as is a part of Release Me (wrong key here). Faded Love is done quite enjoyable, especially when you consider that Elvis rarely did this song in concert, but later versions (Atlanta July 3rd and Vegas August 7th MS) are better versions of this 1970 classic.
This first release of the TRIANGE label is certainly a winner. Great packaging, great sound and thanks to the man himself, a great show. Get it when you can, you won’t regret it.
To conclude this review I would like to quote the inside of the booklet:
“ The hotel management of the Sahara almost caused riots because to many tickets were sold. Maybe this was the main reason for this extra concert in connection with Mothers day. Elvis’s fee was donated to the Barton Memorial Hospital in Lake Tahoe, which needed money for medical equipment. It’s therefore easy to say this concert was a very special gift in all ways “

HOT E NEWS: RUBBERNECKIN' UPCOMING NEW REMIX CD SINGLE 2003?
AND MORE DETAILS ON THE NEW FTD DRAGON HEART - BONUS TRACKS.
By Ernst Jorgensen.
Hi Ernst, today I received the underground news confirming that it has been decided that the next Remix CD single will be Rubber Neckin'?
I think someone took a leak at BMG US. Lol.
Again Andylon, till today at 1.20 P.M. it has NOT been decided yet.
Also we do have several songs as a remix, amongst them is also "Let Your Self Go", which also is to my personal opinion even a better song as a
remix.
And when "the song" is really decided we still have to find the right person to let them do the job for the remix and there are some great Dj's out
there now adays.
Because of this situation, that we still working on the complete project for the album and remix-release, it has been decided the album will be
delayed to October, 2003.
Can you enlighten me on the dates of the three bonus tracks from the new FTD CD. Dragon Heart?
"All Right, Okay, You Win"" , is from Detroit October 29, 1974.
And the other two songs "Trying To Get To You" and "Blue Christmas" are from College Park October 28, 1974.
Great and thanks again Ernst for the details... but still i have a gut feelin'... it will be Rubber Neckin' Ernst.
But okay, we wait and see when the decision and the official statement is made by BMG US and you... sure I will bother you again..lol.
Thanks.

Yesterday Ernst and I also discussed the new upcoming live-show release on the FTD Cd label that was first entitled : "The Chinese Dragon" and now the FTD team decided to change it into : "Dragon Heart".
Also Ernst told me that the 3 bonus songs "Trying To Get To You", "Blue Christmas" and "All Right, Okay, You Win" ( recorded originally by Peggy Lee ) were from another Elvis Live-show a couple of days earlier.
Ernst, In one of our last interviews you told me there wasn't a
"NEW" song on this release as a bonus.
I imagine this song is a one-liner?
No Andylon, it is not a one-liner, but is was also not possible for me to make to you a statement: hey, we discovered a completely new Live-song., because that is not true either.
So it's a "more liner" Ernst? lol.
Well actually, remember Glenn D. Hardin played solo on his piano and Elvis would sing-a-long like he did with
"Lawdy Miss Clawdy",. that's how this recording is of the song "All Right, Okay, You Win".
All Right, Ernst, Okay, You Win....lol . Well that is "Nice" that we now have some more details on this song.
Note: Within three days part two of the Interview with Ernst Jorgensen will be published on Ep.Gold.

ELVIS THE CONCERT IN AHOY ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS.
Elvis in Ahoy Rotterdam (june 3, 2003)
A fantastic band, having fun on stage. An audience of all sorts and conditions of men: old, young, rich, poor. These are the main ingredients of one of the biggest events in our time, Elvis The Concert. The reunion of the king and his band last Tuesday night was a great experience for all the thousands of fans in Ahoy, Rotterdam.
Okay, he’s gone. There’s no way you can shake his hand or kiss him, there are no scarfs. He is only twodimensional on a large screen, there’s no eye tot eye contact. But this must be the nearest thing to heaven. The atmosphere in Ahoy was almost an anachronism, like a timemachine that took you back, let’s say, thirty years.
Being at an Elvis Concert nowadays is still like being among friends, even if there are thousands of people around you. Everyone, from young to old, is having a great time. For those who never had the chance to see the king live on stage it’s an unique experience. You close your eyes and imagine that it’s all real. You could see people do that a lot of times.
Most of them were there: James Burton, Jerry Scheff, Ronnie Tutt, Glenn Hardin, The Sweet Inspirations, The Stamps. They accompanied footages of Elvis Presley, taken from Aloha from Hawaii (73), That’s the way it is (70) and The NBC Special (68). Hearing the master’s voice so loud in such a big place was like hearing him for the first time. Man, the guy was great and will always be great. What more can you say about a night like that.

A BOOK REVIEW EXCLUSIVE FOR EP.GOLD : THE COLONEL - ALANNA NASH.
BY KEN VRANA.

Three years ago, I had little if any real interest in Elvis Presley. All that would change when an old girlfriend of his suggested I do a documentary film on the man. Now, after traveling over 150,000 miles and doing some 400 interviews, I jokingly tell people I can probably tell you what color socks the guard at Graceland wore in 1965. In part, that’s why I was particularly interested in reading Alanna Nash’s newest book, “The Colonel. – The Extraordinary Story of Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley.”

FIRST EDITION OF ELVIS MATTERS.

Just out is the first edition of the Elvis Matters fan club magazine with the same title. This edition contains a complete run down of the latest releases and news with some "new" news. The magazine has a few interesting articles, the first one on Japanese fans meeting Elvis which contains a short dialogue in which Elvis talks about his set-lists. Then a few images of the changes at graceland. Interesting was the opening of the Stax Studio Museum and John Wilkinsons story on the guitar he gave to Elvis. Also nice is the www-section, reviewing Elvis (related) websites.

ELVIS BOX FULL OF UNRELEASED GOODIES.
NEW YORK (Billboard) - BMG Heritage has set a July 1 release for "Elvis: Close Up," a four-disc box set featuring a bounty of unreleased Elvis Presley material.
"Close Up" follows last year's RCA release of the box set "Elvis Today, Tomorrow, and Forever" and the single-disc collection "ELV1S 30 #1 Hits," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 2.8 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"Elvis: Close Up" collects 89 tracks in all, and each of its four remastered discs represent different aspects of Presley's career.
Disc one concentrates on stereo master tapes from the 1950s, marking the first such releases for "Blueberry Hill," "Loving You," "(There'll Be) Peace in the Valley (For Me)," "Don't Leave Me Now," and more. Disc two culls tracks from four of Presley's films: "G.I. Blues," "Blue Hawaii," "Flaming Star," and "Wild in the Country." The disc features 25 previously unreleased outtakes.
The third disc covers Presley's 1960s sessions at RCA's Studio B in Nashville. Twenty-one outtakes from a number of different sessions are featured, including "Make Me Know It," "U.S. Male," "Surrender," "His Latest Flame," "The Girl of My Best Friend," and "Singing Tree."
The final disc is taken up by a complete unreleased concert recorded April 18, 1972 in San Antonio. The 23-track show features "Burning Love," "Proud Mary," "Suspicious Minds," "Never Been to Spain," "Funny How Time Slips Away," and "Polk Salad Annie."

NEXT REMIX CD SINGLE: RUBBERNECKIN'?
Again there is a new rumour on other Elvis web-sites that the following -up for the Remix CD - single: "A Litlle Less Coversation", will be "Rubberneckin" .
This was published a couple of days ago in a US News-paper and today published again in a Asian News-paper.
So again we checked this with BMG UK and BMG US.
Draina Devine who is now responsible for the promotion on Elvis releases this year confirmed:
"No, this is not true, we haven't decided yet which song will be the next remix
CD.
We hope to have more details soon, Andylon."
BMG US - Joe Dimurio told us this is again another rumour.
"Again Andylon : We haven't decided yet what the next title will be as a remix for Elvis this year.
We are still working on this because there are more songs on our list that might be the next remix to release than
Rubberneckin'.
So it hasn't been detemined yet..... hope we have made a decision soon ....Thanks Andylon for checking this."

A GOLDEN TOPIC FOR EP GOLD

Here is a special picture from 17th Jan 1968
This was taken at the press conference in Sydney on the above date.
Elvis' cadillac was on tour in Australia all through 1968.
The lady was the Hostess and Commentator for the tour a Miss Jan Dennison and she wore a GOLD "MOD" MINI outfit made especially for the
occasion.
I have nearly completed the history of that tour, but if anybody in Australia has more
pictures of the cadillac and the places, when it toured all around Australia in 1968
I would like to hear from them no matter how small the information.
I would also like to get more paper advertisments from the local papers if possible.
kindest regards,

ELVIS LOCAL CATOLOGUE REDUCED.
Just like BMG worldwide BMG Belgium has decided to reduce the Elvis catalogue to 50 titles. Of course, the regular CD's will remain available, such as live concerts, the Golden Records-series, Double Features, the Number One Hits and most studio-albums.
Relatively new compilation CD's that have been permanently deleted include King of Belgium 1 and 2, and "Humo Selecteert Het Beste van Elvis Presley". "We only have 15 copies left of the Humo-CD-set. Once they're gone, we wish the collectors happy hunting", a spokesman for BMG-Belgium said, adding that a limited catalogue is more interesting for record stores than a wide variety of titles.

A REVIEW ON LISA MARIE PRESLEY'S INTERVIEW WITH PLAYBOY.
Here Is A Review About the Article:
Lisa Marie airs her dirty laundry
Now that Lisa Marie Presley has opened up about sex, her 1994 marriage to Michael Jackson is even more perplexing.
The King's singing scion says in the new Playboy that she likes things rough, "the way they do it in porn movies."
What's more, the 35-year-old - whose debut CD, "To Whom It May Concern," has been on Billboard's Top 25 chart for five weeks - adds: "I think I'd be much better as a lesbian."
Of her 20-month marriage to Jackson, she says: "He's not sexually seductive, but there is something riveting about him. He doesn't let people see who he is. When he [did] ... I got caught up and thought I was in love with the man."
Presley says she never saw a child in bed with him.
Of her 107-day marriage to Nicolas Cage, Presley says she "hated" him after "he had a temper tantrum [and] walked out the door. ... It was just a rampage."
Presley confirms that Cage took her 6-carat yellow diamond ring "and threw it into the water. ... Nic replaced it two days later with a 10-carat yellow diamond." And even though they're in the middle of a divorce, she adds, they still have friendly chats on the phone.
Presley expresses her love for her father, who took her on the road and let her stay up until 5 in the morning.
Her sailor mouth and ambient anger may have started there. "Anything my father did for me or gave me was done out of love. ... I'm sure I had moments when I was a snot. But my mom [Priscilla] was there to smack me back to the other side."
