"Wild In The Country"

Synopsis; Glenn Tyler, a moody and rebellious young man, is drawn into a fight with his drunken brother and seriously injures him. Thinking he has killed him, Glenn flees but is caught by police and turned to the local court. Glenn Sitting in judgment on his case, among others, are Phil Macy, local wealthy lawyer-politico, and Irene Sperry, a psychiatric consultant. When his own father turns against him, the court

remands Glenn to the custody of his uncle. Glenn goes to work in Phil's plant and moves into his house, where his sexy cousin Noreen and her baby also live. Glenn goes to see Irene Sperry on his first probation visit. He is hostile but she wins his respect and learns that he has a strong desire to write. Glenn writes a short story that Irene think is good enough to get him into college. She pulls some strings and Glenn is accepted.

Weld co-starred with Elvis in Wild In The Country, she was scarcely 18 years old
but was already a Hollywood veteran who had survived numerous scandals and love
affairs. In 1988, her career intersected with Elvis once more in Heartbreak
Hotel, a whimsical comedy about a boy who kidnaps Elvis as a gift for his mother.
Millie
Perkins co-starred as one of Elvis’ three love interests in Wild In The
Country. Thirty years later, Perkins played Elvis’ mother in the television
series Elvis.
