The
racing shots were filmed on location and crowd control was difficult. A lapse in
security almost caused a tragedy when Elvis fans broke through the barriers and
rushed Elvis during a racing sequence. They were almost hit by fast cars turning
a corner at high speed. Luckily no one was injured, Elvis signed a few
autographs and shooting continued without incident.

Synopsis;
Mike McCoy (Elvis) loves being single
almost as much as he loves formula cars. He’s made a living as a singer to
support his love of speed. After the last show a man asks Mike and the band to
perform at this daughter’s birthday party and says he’s willing to pay them
a lot of money. The problem is that Mike is a man of principles and the date
conflicts with gigs already booked. Mike tells him no, and the man leaves.

During
a rehearsal the band gets some bad news. The rest of the tour has been canceled
by the man who wanted Mike to sing for his daughter’s birthday. If they do the
party the tour is back on, if not…Mike agrees to do the show.
Mike meets a lot of girls during this movie, and you don’t know which
one he would choose. At the end of the movie, Mike to choose to mary them all…to
other people.
Shelley Fabares appeared in three of Elvis’ films and Elvis considered her one of his favorite actresses. He felt that she liked him as a person and wasn’t awed by his celebrity. They dated for a while, became and remained close friends. Her spark, sense of humor and enthusiasm helped Elvis through some difficult times.
