Synopsis;
Steve Grayson has a solid record as a winner, both personally and as a champion auto racer. His wallet is always filled and the ladies love him. Kenny Donford is Steve's best friend, a charming but rather irresponsible guy who serves as the champ's "Business Manager." Until one day the Internal Revenue Service sends Steve a bill for $1000,000. Thanks to their good for people and having fun. Steve is in a lot of trouble. So he hires a business management firm to help, and Susan Jacks is assigned to travel along with him, keep track of the winnings and make sure the government gets its piece. Steve and Susan are oil and water, but they negotiate a truce and things go pretty smoothly until Kenny gambles away their stash at the track.
Steve decides to sell his car to come up with the cash. When words gets out, people rush to make an offer, and just as his chief competition is about to snap it out, Susan busts in with the news that the government has granted a temporary reprieve so he can race. Steve gets into the "Charlotte 600," and wins, pays his debts, and decides that Susan ain't so bad after all.
Elvis and Nancy Sinatra co-starred together in Speedway. Although cordial but never close to Frank Sinatra, Elvis struck up a friendship with Nancy that lasted throughout most of the rest of his life.
Nancy frequently came to Vegas to catch her father’s shows and Elvis’ as well. She would join Elvis backstage to hang out and gossip. Elvis enjoyed the company of people who understood the demands of celebrity.
Songs; Speedway, Let Yourself Go, Your Time Hasn't Come Yet Baby, He's Your Uncle Not Your Dad, Who Are You, There Ain't Nothing Like A Song

On his return from the army in 1960, Elvis was scheduled to appear on Welcome Home, Elvis, a television special hosted by Frank Sinatra. Frank sent his daughter Nancy to the airport as Elvis’ official greeter. The pair struck up a friendship that lasted for years and provided sparkling chemistry in Speedway. Her version of “Your Groovy Self” was included on the soundtrack album, marking the only time another artist sang a solo on a regular RCA Elvis album
