* Elvis donated $50,000 to the Motion Picture Relief Fund in Hollywood, on July 28, 1965. The largest single donation ever made.
* "Paradise, Hawaiian Style" was previewed at the Maslo Theater in Memphis on June 9, 1966. It opened nationally on July 6.
* Working titles for the film included "Polynesian Paradise," "Hawaiian Paradise" and "Hawaii USA."
* During a break in filming on Sunday, August 15, Elvis and the Colonel visited the USS Arizona war memorial at Pearl Harbor.
Synopsis;
Pilot Rick Richards (Elvis), returnd home
to Hawaii. He wants to persuade his old friend Danny Kohana (James Shigeta), to
start a helicopter charter service together. Danny thinks that there’s not
enough potential business, so Rick goes to work and persuades a sheraton
hostess, Lehua Kawena (Lind Wong), to refer customers. With a growing list,
Danny changes his mind, and Dannick Airways is born. One time, Rick gets in
trouble with his chopper, and while regaining control, he forces a car below him
into a ditch. The driver of the car was Donald Belden of the FAA.

Rick goes on a tense air search and find them slightly injured but OK. They apologize to each other and become buddies again. After that, Rick decides to see Donald Belden of the FAA to see him in person and give his side of the story. Belden tells Rick, he may continue to fly after his skills showed by rescuing Danny and Jan. Danrick is saved.
