Synopsis;
Greg
Nolan is a photographer who's got a great job for an LA paper. All he wants is
to do his work and be left alone to sing and sit on the beach, but Bernice and
her great dane, have something else in mind. She has Albert chase Greg into the
water and does not let him come out until nightfall. By this time Greg has
developed a mild case of pneumonia, and Bernice takes him up to the beach house,
gives him some pills and puts him to bed. Recovering several days later, he
finds that he's been canned from his job.
Greg then discovers that Bernice moved him out of his apartment while he was recovering at her house, and he's living with her now.
Bernice is very strange and life around her house is even stranger. Greg wants a new job and lands work as a commercial photographer for two opposing films located in the same building.
To celebrate his new jobs, Bernice goes out and finds Greg a beautiful
new house and comes over with Harry to have dinner. As Harry and Greg have never
gotten along very well, the dinner ends quickly and Bernice leaves with Harry.
But a few days later, she returns to tell Greg she's decided to leave Harry and
the beach house for good.
So he has nowhere to go and wants to move in with Greg. At this point, Bernice is almost as confused as Greg and ends up running away. Realizing that this wacky woman and her wacky life are actually a lot of fun, Greg follows Bernice. At the conclusion, Greg has Albert chase Bernice into the water and then goes in after her for a wild, romantic, comic, splashing, kissing finale.
