* Working Titles were; "Take Me To The Fair," "Take Me Out To The Fair," "Love At The Fair."

* "It Happened At The Worlds Fair" opened in Los Angeles on April 3, 1963. National distribution was on April 10, 1963.

* Location shooting begin at the World's Fair in Seattle on Septemebr 5. Elvis was provided with 40 special policeman and six detectives.

* Ranked #55 in Variety's list of top films for 1963.

Synopsis; Pilots Mike Edwards (Elvis) and Danny Burke (Gary Lockwood) are usually broke. It gets even worse when the local sheriff server papers attaching their plane for a big stack of overdue bills. Without their plane there’s no reason to stay so they decide to hitch-hike and get a lift from a Chinese farmer and his niece Sue-Lin (Vicky Tiu)  to the Seattle World’s Fair. 

Mike volunteers to take Sue-Lin to the fair while Danny looks for a buddy to help them out of missery. After a long day of riding and eating, Sue-Lin gets an upset stomach and Mike has to find the dispensary. The nurse, Diane Warren (Joan O’Brien), is such a nice lady that Mike tries to be sick as well. When she doen’s believe him, he let a boy (Kurt Russell) kick his leg, and goes back in. Pretending that he can’t walk, Diane helps him. The boy who kicked Mike asks him “hey mister, must I kick your leg again?”. 

        

After that, they have a huge fight. Meanwhile, Sue-Lin arrives and tells Mike that her uncle has disappeared. Diane is so angry that she calls the child welfare agency and tells them Sue-Lin should be put under foster care. Meanwhile, Danny has arranged  to put up the money to get the plane back if he and Mike will fly some cargo up to Canada. Just when Mike agrees, he finds out that Sue-Lin has escaped from the welfare board and rushes to the fair and  finds her. Back at the airport, Mike doesn’t trust the cargo and finds out that the boxes are full of illegal furs. He fights with the smuggles and hand in over to the police. Sue-Lin’s uncle returns, and Mike and Diane admit that they love each other. The movie ends with the song “Happy Ending.”
