* On April 7, 1962, Elvis arrived at the Honolulu International Airport to begin filming on "Girls! Girls! Girls!"

* Working titles were; "A Girl In Every Port," "Welcome Aboard," "Gumbo Ya-Ya" and "Jambalaya."

* The World Premiere of "Girls! Girls! Girls!" was on October 31, in Honolulu. The film was distributed nationally on November 21.

* I Don't Wanna Be Tied" was previously titled "Twist Me Loose."

 Synopsis; Ross Carpenter (Elvis) and his father build a sailboat called “The West Wind” and finish it just before his father’s death. Ross was forced to sell the boat to Stavros, a Greek who owns the charter fishing boat Which Ross is the captain off. He made an agreement with mr Stavros

 to live on the boat and when he has enough money, mr Stavros would sell him the boat back. One day, mr Stavros becomes ill and must move to Arizona, he must sell everything including the “West Wind.” Ross is very upset and goes to his girlfriend Robin Gatner (Stella Stevens) who owns a club. At that time she has some trouble with a drunk man and Ross escorts him outside. He meets Laurel Dodge (Laurel Goodwin) the drunk’s

 date and ask her out. They fall in love and Ross tells her about how fond he is about “The West Wind.” Without knowing, Laurel gets some money from her family and buys “The West Wind.” When Ross finds out that Laurel bought his boat, he disappears. Robin tells Laurel where Ross might have gone. Laurel asks the broker if he would sail the West Wind to Ross’ hiding place. As they set off, Ross’ friend recognizes them and signals Ross on the radio. Thinking Laurel is in big trouble, Ross rushed to rescue her. In a bad mood, Ross pulls up a fight with the broker and demands he’ll buy the boat back. Ross swallows his pride and realizes how he loves Laurel. This movie neds with the songs “Dainty Little Moonbeams/Girls! Girls! Girls!.”
