Synopsis; Rusty Wells (Elvis) and his band are preparing to leave the Windy City, leave winter far behind and head for Fort Lauderdale for spring break. They’ve earned a lot of money for Big Frank (Harold J.Stone) and made his nightspot very populair, so he decides to hold the band over for a while. Rusty has Florida on his mind and when he finds out that Big Frank’s daughter Valerie Frank (Shelley Fabares) is spending her easter vacation in Fort Lauderdale, he persuades Big Frank into sending him and the band to Florida, all expenses paid, to take an eye on his daughter. At first, she doesn’t seem interested in boys so the band starts working at the local club. While playing, they spot Valerie in the audience and they start to rescue Valerie from a creep. She keeps getting herself into trouble, and the whole thing is tuning into a pain in the neck until he realizes he’s falling in love with her. She even gets herself into jail and Rusty tunnels into Valerie’s cell to break her out, but by the time he arrives, She’s no longer there.

At first, Big Frank is mighty angry, but finally decides he’s got to like a girl who’ll dig his way into jail to save his daughter. He gives Rusty and Valerie his blessing.
