Synopsis; Sailor Mike Wingren (Elvis), an ex-trapeze artist, arrives in Acapulco, Trying to forget the past as he was involved in an accident in which his partner was badly injured. A shoeshine boy named Raoul Almeido (Larry Domasin) overhears Mike sing and offers to become his

manager. Mike is hired as a singer in a resort hotel During his stay, he meets and becomes involved with Dolores Gomez (Elsa Cardenas), a lady bullfighter. Mike works as a part-time lifeguard at the hotel swimming pool, where he meets Marguerita (Ursula Andress). The regular lifeguard,

Moreno (Alejandro Rey) has a
crush on her and is very jealous of Mike. Moreno finds out that Mike has a fear
of hights, so Moreno finds an argument with Mike that results in a fistfight
that ends with Merone pretending to be too hurt to do his dive off the cliff at
La Quebrada. Mike is obliged to do the dive himself, and over –fears his “weakness.”
He regains his confidence and his future.
