First A Bus & Now A House...

Remember the false stories built up around “that bus” being owned and used by Elvis! Well now there is a house in Las Vegas that is being touted as once owned by Elvis, or at least where he would stay?

First of all there's a post on the FECC telling how the posters friend had been on a trip to Las Vegas organised by Elvis Matters and while there, the club's president told the everyone that Elvis once owned a house in Vegas in 1977?

This claim certainly grabbed our attention and we went looking for more details.

The house is known as “The Elvis House” and while the claims that Elvis owned the home in 1977 is totally false, another claim about the same house is that it was actually owned by the International and then the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas and amongst other celebrities, it’s claimed that Elvis and his entourage would stay at the house while he was performing at the Hotel between 1969 and 1974 when the Hotel sold the home.

The house was owned by a violinist named, Joseph Macchiaverna who later sold the home to Michael Michaels, who was an Elvis IMP and makes you wonder if this is where the claims of Elvis once living in the home were first hatched? The IMP sold the home in 2006 to it’s current owner who is now looking to sell the home and is now getting media attention due to
the Elvis connection?

Now then, we have never heard of Elvis having some holiday home in Las Vegas and so we went to Marty Lacker and asked him if there was any truth to these claims? This is what Marty said about the house; “Elvis did not own a house in Vegas and while the hotel could have owned a home, Elvis did not stay there. 

He always stayed at the hotel while performing there. First on the 29th floor when it first opened and then when they finished the big suite on the 30th floor he moved into it.”

So not really surprise there from Marty and another example of somebody making some fake story to make themselves out to be important, living somewhere Elvis once lived.

It’s not the first time this type of crap has been created and it sure won’t be the last....sadly!
